Remote communication with tachographs
Wireless readout of data from smart tachographs at 5.8 GHz — without stopping the vehicle, compliant with EU Regulation No. 165/2014.

In accordance with EU Regulation No. 165/2014, modern tachographs are equipped with remote communication functionality that allows authorised control bodies to read certain information from the device without stopping the vehicle. This technology uses Dedicated Short-Range Communication (DSRC) at a frequency of 5.8 GHz, providing secure and efficient data transfer.
Remote communication significantly improves control and oversight processes. Control bodies can identify potential violations in real time and focus their resources on vehicles that do not comply with regulations. At the same time, drivers and operators who comply with the rules are spared unnecessary delays and disruptions during their journey.
This technology not only increases the efficiency of oversight but also contributes to greater road safety, enabling fast and reliable insight into the condition of the vehicle and the driver's activity.
